To book a show with Sueflayy Presents - sueflayy presents weekend shows can be found at the knitting factory, the mint the dragonfly, the roxy, the viper room, on the rox, the troubadour, and hob. since we book weekends at popular venues, great music and big draw are essential. a verifiable significant draw history is required or tickets need be sold advance (NOT pay to play, we need real fas purchasing tix and showing up) or deposit. bands add to their fanbase at our shows since all bands must draw equally, my company must also give deposits to venues and sign contracts guarantees draw and income, we ask you to do nothing we dont do and we must do this for much larger amounts. sounds fair, eh? 1. Email music/website info to: Or mail press-kit to: Sueflayy Presentspo box 693 mailbu , california 90265
2. Let me know the last 2 venues you played in LA (if you have), when, where and your REAL draw (yes, all clubs and promoters communicate so lets be honest).
3. Contact me within a couple of weeks of sending your music and info Our Part:
We will book you at LA's top venues on great nights i try to put together nights where, musically, the sound flows well so people stay all night and bands get new fans! as a promoter, the one thing i can do is help build your fanbase which will take you to the next level. the club and i like nights when fans stay for more than one band. makes for a fun, full night! with a background in A&R, management and working at 3 major labels, i understand being on your side of the table re shows. i knew what it was like to book a show from the bands standpoint. now i also know what it is like to be on the booker/club side. i can be fair, sensitive and realistic about what needs to be done for a very successful night for everyone involved i promote the shows via ads with the clubs, my HUGE email invite list, giveaways at the shows, adding a bit of fun to our nights (for example, filling the club with balloons for one show, contests), anything you can think of to make the night special, i am open. i work very hard on my shows and i expect bands to do the same. if bands bring me a good draw, i PAY BANDS! pay scale depends on venue and draw, this is all discussed BEFORE we book a show Your Part: Play a great set! Promote like mad,,, most promoting IS put on bands, just how it is in this town, you need to get out there, work it, draw for me, i will book you with bands who do the same so you all get new fans Since i book very popular LA venues generally just weekends, bands need to draw fans. if i know ur act has a good draw in la, we can book a show. If you dont have a draw i can confirm, advanced sales of tix might be necessary. i will never ever ever ask a band to pay me for a show...NO "PAY TO PLAY." i might ask you to ADVANCE SELL tickets to fans. the difference??? advanced sales is what U2, Neil Young, Brittney Spears, etc do when they play....fans buy tix in advance and if enough tix are not sold, the show is cancelled. if my show is not going to be BIG, it will not happen, either. neither me nor the clubs can afford this. pay to play means band buys tix. this i do not do, i need for bands to have ENOUGH fans who will actually buy the tix and come to the show. again , i book bands/artists who ALL draw so you all are seen and heard by new people. No shows to me are unimportant, I take every single show very seriously, and the artist must as well. 310.422.4015 sueflayypresents@aol.com www.sueflayypresents.com http://www.indie911.com/booking |
