sueflayy presents weekend shows  can be found at the knitting factory, the mint the dragonfly, the roxy, the viper room,  on the rox, the troubadour, and hob. since we book weekends at popular venues, great music and big draw are essential. a verifiable significant draw history is required or tickets need be sold  advance (NOT pay to play, we need real fas purchasing tix and showing up) or deposit. bands add to their fanbase at our shows since all bands must draw equally, my company must also give deposits to venues and sign contracts guarantees draw and income, we ask you to do nothing we dont do and we must do this for much larger amounts. sounds fair, eh?

why must a band draw fans?
Just like people pay when they go out for dinner or for a movie to pay costs (salaries, rent, insurance, profit- yes, this is the music BIZ- biz makes a profit, if done right),  people pay for the entertainment of live music. too. Fans pay admission and for drinks to support the night,  Bands should NEVER pay for a show! We dont do "pay to play." We need real bodies to show up, enjoy the bands and buy food and drinks at the bar. This is the reality and, if doesnt make sense, think about it before booking a show,
Also, you are playing in one of the most expensive cities. Rents, real estate costs, insurance on Sunset Blvd and all over LA are high. We book bands from all over the WORLD! We know you can play in the middle of Iowa, make good money and not worry about draw, That is Iowa, Understand how LA works and make it work for you.
you have an extensive industry background. can you get me a deal? 
Many artists have gotten deals at our shows. Yes, my background has helped, We have done some shows focusing on industry to come see bands we choose, we have sent acts to industry either when asked by industry or when we think something would "fit." We will let you know of any and all opportunities which might work for your music. Our best advice is get out there and get noticed, Play great shows and BUILD A BIG FANBASE!!! Get press (contact fanzines, papers, magazines). If your draw is big, industry knows you will make them money, Again, this is a business.
